"Evergreens" by Jerome K. Jerome is a poetic book about nature. In his description of evergreens and how underappreciated they can be, even in the winter when they represent a shining color in a world of gray and white, he's able to instead discuss humanity. Though this book diverges from Jerome's typical comedic style of writing, he is able to use his signature wit and way with words and similes to provide a thoughtful look at the world around us.
