"Lady Hester; Or, Ursula's Narrative" is a romance story about a young woman's desire to know about her estranged father. Faith Le Blanc, a young woman had been married to Captain Trevor, a young English soldier who went off to war and with whom they had a daughter. But a case of mistaken identity sees the Captain marked as dead. Subsequently Faith is remarried, but her second husband also dies in a hunting expedition. And then news comes that in fact Captain Trevor wasn't dead, but was now the Earl of Trevorsham; married, and the father of four children in England.
