The Stoneground Ghost Tales is a collection of supernatural stories by the English cleric E. G. Swain, written as a tribute to his friend the greatest ghost story writer M. R. James.
The kind amateur antiquarian Reverend Mr Batchel is the Vicar of the quiet East Anglian village of Stoneground. In these stories, he records the ghostly goings-on encountered by himself and his parishoners. These nine macabre stories are still a real and rare delight to any ghost fan as they have been for the last one hundred years.
