The narrative revolves around an individual from the East fond of gambling and arrives at a remote Western town at the end of a rail line. In an attempt to overcome his addiction to horse racing, he stumbles upon a local race and becomes fascinated by the enigma surrounding the improbable horse that emerges victorious. His pursuit takes him to a concealed valley known as "the Garden of Eden," where a distinctive lineage of horses is bred. The gambler schemes to purchase an Eden Gray horse, hoping to enter it into races and earn a fortune.
