'Only One Love; or, Who Was the Heir' is a romance novel written by Charles Garvice. The story begins with a young man being lost in the Forest of Warden. As time goes on and he continues to have no luck at figuring his way out, he realizes that he will have to spend the night there. As the moon arrives, he finds a sheltered spot, but instead of sleeping, he sings a song and is startled by a short, sharp bark of a dog.
