"The Orange Girl" by Walter Besant is the story of William Halliday, musician and outcast son of a respectable London gentleman. A strange twist in his father's will, however, keeps Halliday from being able to pursue his simple life of making music. A lawyer and a cousin of his wish to undo his father's wishes until the noble and enigmatic Orange Girl steps in to help William thwart their unscrupulous plans.
