Private eye Cash Morgan is hired to investigate the death of Roddy Crane, a university student, at the end of his first year, living with three beautiful women. His death has been ruled as suicide by the police but his ex-girlfriend, Janey, is adamant that Roddy would never have committed suicide, his life was far too good. As Cash investigates the incredible last year of Roddy’s life, he discovers that there are any number of people who had good reason to kill Roddy, from jealous boyfriends to angry fathers to spurned lovers. As he works his way through the suspects, drawing ever closer to the real killer, Cash himself embarks on a romance with one of Roddy’s lecturers, Liz Tarry. But Cash has a history of screwing up relationships, and to make matters worse, Liz has a secret that she’s keeping from Cash, a secret that will land her onto Cash’s list of suspects.
