"All Hallows Eve" is the last of the seven novels of the supernatural written by Charles Williams, a member of the Inklings, an informal literary discussion group associated with C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien at the University of Oxford. It follows the life of Lester Furnival, a woman of only twenty five years of age. On her way to meet an old friend, both she and her friend are killed. Their spirits then wander the city of London. Meanwhile Lester's husband Richard goes to visit an old friend and in the process encounters the charismatic religious leader Father Simon. Richard soon discovers the diabolical plot of the cult leader who is in fact an evil magician. And it's up to him to rescue Simon's victims before it is too late. But in order to do so, he will need help from the other side of life…
