This is a Bible commentary on The Book of Joshua, which tells the story of the campaigns of the Israelites in Canaan and the division of the land among the Twelve Tribes. The earliest parts of the book were possibly written in the late reign of King Josiah, but the book was not completed until after the fall of Jerusalem to the Neo-Babylonian Empire and possibly not until after the return from the Babylonian exile.
